Technologist, Procurement Support Reporting to the Supervisor of Manufacturing Engineering of Procurement Support, you will be vital to the success of this team who supports the Design, Procurement, Engineering and Operation teams. You will be embedded within these teams to give swift support when issues arise. You bring to this role a background in Engineering (Electrical) and knowledge of supply chain and working very closely with suppliers. This role has some travel but all with-in the GTA (Greater Toronto Area). If you thrive in a fast paced environment, where things happen fast, every day is different, and have experience qualifying suppliers, then explore this role, and see if you have what it takes! Tasks to be Accomplished Acting as a technical point of contact for supply chain as it related to Electrical (Circuit cards). Coordinating root cause investigations and corrective action implementation with supply chain Providing support to procurement in generation specifications and statement of work. Conducting supply chain capability and manufacturing process audits. Conducting (FAI) First Article Inspection on all items/manufacturing processes in both Sustaining and NPI (New Product Introduction). Providing support to supply chain for all supplier initiated non conformances. Providing support to procurement in terms of design to cost targets. Supporting the supply chain in terms of efficiency and capacity constraints. Establishing material handling requirements for shipments of product from suppliers.
